Amber Sanchez, BA, Trainee

“A healer does not heal you. A healer is someone who holds space for you while you awaken your inner healer, so that you may heal yourself.”
I consider it an honor to be able to join you on your spiritual and healing journey. It is incredibly brave to recognize the inner struggles within one’s self and reach for help. It is my privilege to be able to enter into your world and bring out the strength that already resides within you. I believe therapy is a place of solace and support. Therapy is your space, where you are more than welcome to come as you are. I approach therapy with a Christian world view and believe that through Christ all things are possible.
My educational experience includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family Child Science from New Mexico State University. I am currently completing the requirements for my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology at Azusa Pacific University. My experience and training includes working with at-risk youth and adolescents, children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, working within the elderly community and those suffering with anxiety, depression, body image, and self-esteem issues. I serve at Family Focus Christian Counseling as a Marriage and Family Therapist trainee under the supervision of John Southward, M.A LMFT (MFC 47976).
I look forward to being able to help you or your family.
