I consider it a sacred endeavor and privilege to join you towards your personal and spiritual growth. My calling as a therapist emerged from a Christian upbringing in which hope stood out as the central ingredient to life. It is now my desire to discover with you, how there’s always a way to a better tomorrow and self. Knowing that life can often leave us feeling hopeless, my approach in assisting you will draw from both mental health and faith-based concepts. This Christian approach to counseling will be reserved for those who desire it. As a strong believer that God has uniquely and wonderfully designed each of us, my approach will further remain strengths-based. That is, another important goal will be to assist you in discovering the unique strengths you possess by design, and your capacity to redirect your life and reach your fullest potential.
My education includes a Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. I have professional and ministerial experience working with adults in all stages of life and adolescents from a variety of backgrounds. Professionally, my experience includes: crisis intervention, substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, severe mental illness, communication skills and conflict resolution. I serve at Family Focus Christian Counseling as a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (License Number IMF 77038) under the supervision of John Southward, LMFT, License Number 47976.
Being fully bilingual, I am able to work with you in Spanish, if that is what you prefer.
I look forward to being able to help you or your family. You can call (619) 440-4211 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
